Jason Shannon was played by Rick Ravanello in this movie but was unavailable to continue in the rest of the movie series. As of the second movie and onwards the role was played by Steve Bacic.
April Telek plays her first of three different characters of the movie series. Here, Telek plays "Garage Sale Lady". In Garage Sale Mystery: Murder Most Medieval (2017), Telek plays "Anne McNary". Telek later plays the character "Irene" in Garage Sale Mysteries: Searched & Seized (2020).
The green car that Detective Iverson is driving is a 1967 Ford Mustang. Almost identical to the 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback that Steve McQueen drove in the movie Bullitt (1968).
