Büsra Korkmaz, Riza and Ümut's neighbour, dreams of gaining acceptance and recognition on social medias as a singer. She asks Ümut to record her and uploads it on internet. Fecir Emirkiran, future heir to the Emirkiran's empire, sees Büsra's rendition of "Hep Sonradan" song and get mesmerized by her. He invites her to his private party to perform. The outcome of Fecir Emirkiran's party will change their lives forever when Riza Tankirulu is arrested and accused of Büsra's murder. Ümut Tankirulu undertake a lawyer's career, determined to prove his father's innocence, and will seek a retrial five years after that fatal night.

Av. Neset Tuzcu, Riza's court appointed defense lawyer, meets in prison with his client and his son Umut. A signed confession has been incorporated to Riza's case file but Riza does not remember anything of what happened the night Büsra Korkmaz was murdered. At Riza's arraignment hearing, under state prosecutor Ms. Süreyya Uyar's questioning, Av. Neset Tuzcu suffers anxiety attacks when addressing the court. Upon hearing the charges and details of his daughter's death, overwhelmed with grief and anger, Busra's father attacks the defendant. Av. Harun Hakar intervenes and prevents Mr. Korkmaz to cause serious bodily harm to Riza Tanrikulu. Umut realizes then that he must find a better lawyer to prove his father's innocence and decides to ask Av. Harun Hakar, lawyer who has never lost a case to date, to defend his father.
