It's like an 8 year old wrote & directed this episode

Seriously??? What were they thinking with this episode??? It's poorly written, directed even worse - reminds me of a school play classmates and I were required to write & act out in the second grade. I can't blame the acting here, seems like the actors done the best they could with awful writing. And let's not forget to mention all the cliche nonsense - but I suppose they didn't care too much since this is the last season. But hey, why go out with a bang when you can go out with a fizzle? I just hope the remaining episodes are better. Btw I am so sick of hearing about Danial's obsession with Mr. Miyagi - let the poor man rest in peace already!

This 'foreign land is dangerous' nonsense

The show is great and this episode, for the most part, is great, too.

However, American studios need to quit with his crap of 'foreign countries' appearing to be more dangerous than the US.

Having lived in Spain... it's one of the safest countries I've ever lived in, so seeing this nonsense of Daniel Sensei being in the middle of Barcelona in clearly a touristy area that is supposed to be nowhere that any tourist would go is complete nonsense.

There are far more dangerous places in the US where people are...?... armed... drugged out of their minds... part of gangs... I could go on.

    Spain isn't like that.

    • Goofs
The taxi driver warns Daniel that they are at "a place where the tourists don't go". They are parked in front of the Santa Maria del Mar church, one of the most recognizable and visited spots of the city. Ironically, at the real place, there are lots of protest signs complaining about mass tourism.

Amanda LaRusso: I thought we agreed to move on from digging into Mr. Miyagi's past.

Daniel LaRusso: That's before I learned about the headband.

Amanda LaRusso: Oh, so now we're letting ancient karate apparel drive our choices.
