The sad part of this show is that the accuracy that it portrays those under 30 is way too accurate. They are more concerned with being superficial and breaking what they consider are oppressive societal norms. If you were to look at the bulk of LDS women over the age of 30, they do not share these same values as these ladies do. All this was, was taking a group of spoiled twenty something year old moms that are completely fake and only care about themselves. It was just another version of real housewives, just set to the LDS religion. Hopefully most people who are watching this, will see that this is the case. And based off of most comments I'm seeing and reviews, this seems to be the case.
Hulu is once again glorifying garbage human beings who are living in a way that is completely bringing down our society. The content is baseless and the strange opening scene tries to elevate the look of people who have broken their families and ruined their children's lives. I don't want to see this type of ennobling and backwards perspectives on people who shouldn't even have a show. Everything in this "reality" show is through a warped looking glass from people living in a bubble of their own making and then acting as if someone put them there against their will. This show and others like it are a cancer. Cancel Hulu. I am.
I appreciated seeing some people question their religion and be honest about some of the challenges it brings.
It's great to see large groups of girls being there for each other, but Whitney needs to be kicked. She's toxic, a prick, and has no self insight. She ruins and overshadows some of the positive things you could have benefited from experiencing and seeing in a large group of people.
A general insight into the life of a social media mormon character. I learned things i didn't know and even had to google some of the laws they try to live by.
They also have the girls' parents in some scenes and here it really becomes apparent how the younger generation is trying to adapt the faith to a more understanding and modern time.

Women who don't actually seem to care about their religion, but instead wanted a shot to be real housewives.
Shallow, foul human beings.
Sensationalized and misleading portrayal of LDS women. Instead of offering an authentic look at their lives, it focuses on rare, fringe situations that distort reality for shock value. The show lacks nuance, perpetuates harmful stereotypes, and does a disservice to viewers looking for genuine insight. Rather than fostering understanding, it exploits its subjects for entertainment. If you're looking for a thoughtful exploration of Mormon culture, this is not the place to find it.

I watched both seasons of this show and initially liked their "motto" of being supportive to each other, but I've never seen friends, let alone enemies, treat each other the way these girls treat one another. They are catty, bitchy, speak behind each others backs and are completely fake and rude to one another. I've never left a review on social media in my entire life, but I will not watch another season of this because I think it represents females in a false way. I have never, and would never treat my friends the way these girls treat one another and I hope that people do not use this show as a role model of what female friends are like in general or how typical females act, it is so far from how any females I know behave. Perhaps it's hyped up to be good drama for tv. I'd give the show one star out of ten.
