The short film was written, produced, shot and edited in 42 hours: the 8 actors and actresses, the props and the locations where all found and created in this period of time. By doing so, the film was able to participate at the 42Hrs Film Festival, where only the short films created in 42 hours can compete. The Film Premiere took place the same day the short movies in competition were finished.

Alternate versions
There's an alternate version of "Deprecable Me" existing out there: the first cut presented only at the main festival, more rough but with a special post credit scene in it. The post credit scene was an homage to Boris (a famous Italian TV show), breaking the fourth wall again. Some of the original Boris cast members were part of the jury and during the ceremony they declared that the tribute was really appreciated. Afterwards that scene was cut from the final version and now it's available only in the festival archive.
