Beyond disappointed. I've never seen a movie with so much action that is so run of the mill that I was tired of seeing guns shot. No characters at all that you care about , you don't even remember one of their names. La Monica garret is so much better than this , this is Thomas from 1883, also in lioness ... 2 of the best
Shows on television. Why he took this role is just as big of a mystery of why Linda Hamilton did this? She's got James Cameron money ? What do they have that they blackmailed her to be in this garbage? Clearly I love Aliens, and there is several scenes you can tell are a nod to aliens but just really poor execution. What made aliens - Aliens - was the actors , characters , creepy setting and the pulse rifles and advanced weaponry. This has the budget but just misses the mark
On every single aspect that made Aliens
One of the best sci fi action films of all time. Linda Hamilton is literally in 5 mins of the movie if that.
Never even having heard about the 2025 movie "Osiris" prior to stumbling upon it. And with it being a movie that I hadn't already seen, and me giving essentially all movies a fair chance, of course I had to check out what director William Kaufman had to offer.
The movie definitely started out in a good way, lots of action from the very beginning and dropping the audience right into it. The good part about the movie was that the action was essentially non-stop. Most of the movie was combat, which definitely had some appeal to me, as I enjoy action. But at the same time, it also meant that this wasn't exactly a movie that thrived on having the most of in-depth and fleshed out world building. Not that it needed it, in my opinion, but it would make for a boring viewing experience for a more refined audience, I suppose.
Now, you might say that "Osiris" felt like writers William Kaufman and Paul Reichelt borrowed extensively from the "Predator" franchise in certain ways. Yeah, there were lots of similarities throughout the movies to that particular franchise.
Of the entire cast ensemble in "Osiris", I was only familiar with Linda Hamilton. The acting performances in the movie were fair. Keep in mind that this was an all-out action movie from start to end, leaving little room for Shakespearian performances of thespian artisan levels.
Visually then the movie was good. It looked and felt like an alien-based environment, as the majority of the movie took place aboard of a space vessel. The alien design was okay, they were towering brutes, which I definitely liked. However, I have to say that their faces were a bit too primitive.
My rating of director William Kaufman's 2025 movie "Osiris" lands on six out of ten stars.

Don't listen to the bad reviews. If you go in knowing it's not a $200 mill production it's actually pretty good and Max Martini plays a great commander. The aliens are like something from the old capcom games, mutants from massive experimentation and dna splicing. There is lots of blood and some gory scenes. All in all great for what it is. Worth a rainy night watch with popcorn.
The film "Osiris" had a production budget of $6.7 million, primarily spent on location filming in Louisiana. The film was shot in New Orleans and completed principal photography in late 2023. Vertical acquired the distribution rights in May 2025.
This movie isnt as bad as people make out i'd say if you like predator you'll like this. They could have cut about 15 mins of gun fights out the movie to hit the 90min mark.
The reviews on this page are terrible!! One guy thinks these are great actors, another doesnt remember the aliens getting shot in the feet, a few never even watched the movie one somehow missed that the running time 105MINS AND STATED ITS 90MINS what movie did he watch? One says they never run out of bullets or get hit i assure you they do on both statments. One guy moans and says "You'd think sci-fi would be a playground for imagination, but instead, we get yet another group of amnesiac U. S. soldiers, guns blazing, grunting their way through" (unfortunately buddy stephen hawkins himself stated if aliens come here theres a high possiblitly this is whats happening, its not matthew mcconaughey pulling string theory in a black hole.) and another seems to think this is straight out of hollywood!!! This is a low budget sci fi film... what ignorant world are these clowns living in? They clearly didnt watch the movie and scored it 1/10.
Its a shame its getting bombed i would have liked to have seen more with a bigger budget.

This was b-grade Sci-Fi.. fun, not too deep, and something you'd watch when nothing else on. As others have said, it tries to be a mash of Aliens and Predator with more emphasis on Predator (I think). It is quite predictive, certainly no jump scares. But, it got me involved enough to scream "aim for the feet", a few times - if you have watched it, I'm sure that'll ring a bell. There is a lot of nostalgia in there, to be seen in it, but if you haven't seen those other movies, you wouldn't be missing out. Keep your expectations low, and you may enjoy the ride.. It's good enough to watch and perhaps bad enough to become a cult SciFi classic.. Only time will tell. I hope there is a director's cut of this, as it'd be interesting to see what was left out. Happy viewing!
