This is how you do a mature LGBTQIA+ series. Yet another masterful work of art from Be On Cloud. The cast (especially Apo Nattawin and Mile Phakphum) literally shines on screen, the historical plot is intriguing and the cinematography is spell-binding. Obsessed with the official soundtrack as well. I cannot wait for the rest of the episodes!

Shine was a wait that lasted two years but 1 episode in , one thing I can say with confidence that it was worth the wait. Set in 1969 Bkk the story moves back and forth with flashbacks in Paris which seem pivotal to the development of the main character Dr Trin Suwannapas played brilliantly by one of the stellar actors of his generation, Apo Nattawin Wattangitiphat. The camera loves him and it shows in every frame. Do remember to replay a few scenes in case you get lost in the talent and beauty of Apo Nattawin. Special mention to SonYuke for that one exceptional scene with the piano and the smiles of the actress who plays Dhevi Suwannapas had me hooked Give this fabulous drama a try.
PS- Special mention to the OST by Slot machine and Hold your hand by young wolf.

Mile is so natural. He got into the role of a hippie so easily. I look at him and I don't see anything from his previous characters. This is probably my favorite one. He is incredibly charming. And he is much more complex than he wants to seem. I look forward to further development of his character.
But it is not only him who is interesting. The other characters are incredible. I am already attached to all of them.
And it is not just about the characters. Everything in this series is done with such care and love for art.
And this is only the first episode, and I am already delighted.

After waiting for two years, we finally saw shine's release. After going through a series of issues such as shooting delays and rewriting the script, i finally got to see my favorite actor APO return to the screen. After watching EP1, I'd like to share some thoughts
1. Photography: I really like the overall shooting quality of this time. It can reach the level of film shooting. In terms of color tone, scene and transition design, it has all reached a very high level.
2. I'm quite satisfied with the plot, at least in terms of the entire narrative structure and pace of the ep1. It quickly unfolds the entire storyline centered around the character TRIN, who is connected to every character in the show, making people look forward to EP2 with great anticipation.
3. The casting of the actors: APO's portrayal of Trin is extremely accurate. Also, I really like the casting of Krailert this time. It's just perfect. I love his piano performance so much. Naran and victor's performance was also very natural. I'm looking forward to seeing more of their parts.
4. Acting skills, I must give APO and SON a score of 90 in ep1. APO performed both the French part and the interaction with senior executive at the end very well. In France, he was a melancholy and indignant young boy. In Thailand, he was a rigorous, patriotic and mature economist. You can watch his performance. Even his eyes expression are different.
5. Favorite cut: -The part where Trin and his French girlfriend finally embrace each other in silence; -Krailert the piano part; -Trin took off his shoes and tried to blend in with the environment.
In conclusion, I can give EP1 a score of 9. But I can't fully trust BOC. I hope it can still maintain such a high level in the next eps. No more too many cliches and outdated plots that follow the trend.

Watched the first episode and it's a banger! Cinematography is mesmerising. Acting is incredible. Story is engaging. Music is beautiful.
The story isn't too fast paced nor dragging feets either. Just enough right to keep you hooked. There aren't any boring moment. Because everything scene has a reason an underlying subtext.
If you want a story about freedom, political struggle, love and music I HIGHLY recommend it
10/10 must watch.
