Didi is the best

Really, enjoying this show. Binging.

Perhaps you have to be a certain age to appreciate the inside humor and witticisms. Charles is great, so are his circle of friends. I'm wondering how he'll be able to leave his friends at Pacific View when the case is solved.

Fabulous ensemble cast. Ted Danson, Susan Ruttan, Sally Strothers, Stephen McKinley Henderson... Margaret Avery.

DiDi (Stephanie Beatriz) is stealing the show. She really is the best. So expressive. She says so much and yet so little. The best dry humor and wonderful lines.

Five hearts. My favorite episode so far. Thank you, writers.

Really reminds us of our mortality

As previous reviews have mentioned, Stephanie Beatriz is such a talented actor. I first LOVED her in Brooklyn 99, where she plays a hard ass, but you really see her vulnerability in this Man On The Inside episode. Another honorable mention is Mary Elizabeth Ellis, from portraying the Waitress to also a really mature, vulnerable daughter that really makes us evaluate our own personal familial relationships. Maybe I'm watching too many Michael Schur stuff but even Pillboi (Joel) drops some wisdom bombs!

As a SF resident, I really appreciate the subtle details too. A nod to Philz Coffee (definitely product placement, haha), California street, shots of the bay, etc. I loved the continued character development of Charles - how he first did this to not be bored, but now, he's legitimately caring for these people whom he has barely known for a month. Necklace? Who cares about the necklace anymore?

The title of the episode is a reference to Graham Greene's spy novel "Our Man in Havana" (1958).

Goofs
At the beginning of the episode when Didi is in her office and initially picks up her coffee cup it has a lid on it. In the next scene the lid is gone. In the following scene the lid appears in her left hand but she had just had her phone in that hand and put it down.
