    Rogue gets to shine!

One thing I love about this show, is how much love and care they dedicate to the side characters! Whenever someone thinks about X men, they usually think off Charles, Magneto and Wolverine! However this show, gives a lot of development to the minor characters like, Jean, storm and in this case.. Rogue!

Her development after the events of episode 5 makes perfect sense! The last scene with her in that episode, was a heartbreaking moment, so now we see her in a vengefull state, with one clear goal!

Great moments with other characters as well, and a surprissing cameo that fits the episode rather than feeling shoe-horned!

Amazing animation and visuals! The action never dissapoint and only seem to improve!

The ending sets up an exciting last part of the season! If they nail it, this could be contender for best first season of a TV show, best animated superhero show and one of thf best Marvel projects!

    Rogue has gone Rogue

Excellent episode. A perfect follow up to episode 5 sad ending. A vengeful Rogue was needed and together a nice set up for the final 3 episodes. Portraying her as ruthless was the icing on the cake and I'm hoping she continues her path.

All characters play key parts and a surprise appearance will definitely bring joy to all Marvel fans. This series continues to take the Marvel world to another level and honor each character as major forces withing the Marvel Universe. The xmen is no longer a wolverine centric show. Happy to see the Rogue , Storm and Jean be highlighted as powerful and strong.

Pretty Good Episode, More Style Than Substance

Looking at the other reviews it's clear that saying 'X-Men '97' is anything less than animated perfection is tantamount to a hate-crime, but I'm gonna give a based opinion anyways.

Ep7 a pretty solid episode, probably in my top 3 so far. It was more action-oriented than some of the other episodes, but also more preachy than others. The cameos were cool to see, but also a bit forced. It was good to see Rogue's character evolve; they're giving her a lot of depth, although I can't say the same applies to most of the team. Jubilee, Rogue, Storm, Sunspot, Magneto, and Prof X have been the most developed, and Wolverine has just kind of been there in the background; which doesn't make the show bad, but reasonable people aren't going to award a 10 to an X-Men that focuses on the B-squad either. The movies committed the same sin when they decided to focus on Mystique because Jennifer Lawrence was popular at the time. It's only a concern because there are a couple of episodes remaining and we haven't really seen the core team together in action since the first episode.

Anyways, they finally wrapped up the tangent storylines from the last few episodes and we're back to the main, and I would argue most compelling, storyline of the series. The writing is pretty good, particularly during the first half. The plot didn't conclude with anything on par with Ep5, but the story moved along nicely and led to the revelation of a new villain, so I'm looking forward to the next episode(assuming the show-runners don't go off on a tangent about Morph finding true love at a vegan farmer's market or something). It seems like it would be more cohesive not to drop the Professor X storyline for an entire episode, but maybe that decision makes more sense in the context of the complete season.

Pretty good episode, and apparently if you're a lightweight nostalgia drunk then it's the best thing you'll ever see. I'm still on the fence in the 'Invincible vs XM97' debate, but will likely land on 'Invincible' unless they pull something epic in the finale. XM97 is more creative, but Invincible is more grown up.

    Bright Eyes

Bright Eyes is an ironic title. The X-Men are dealing with grief after the Genosha genocide and the loss of Gambit.

Cyclops discovering the the loss the X-Men have suffered are not on par with human losses to the President. There are not enough votes on it.

Gambit's funeral has one key person missing. Rogue has revenge on her mind as she goes looking for Henry Gyrich and Bolivar Trask. She breaks into a holding facility that is supposed to be kept secure by Thunderbolt Ross.

Later Captain America comes to see her, all unable to be completely of help. Rogue flings the Captain's shield away.

The X-Men do confront Trask but find there are more questions than answers.

The purpose of this episode is to lead to the three part finale. There are a lot of cameos, the appearance of Captain America hints to an expanded Marvel universe with the Avengers.
