Sirens

The Good:

• Julianne Moore is so so great in everything she has ever done
• Michaela's three groupie ladies were so funny
• how is Kevin Bacon 66 years old?? 😳
• good acting
• Meghann Fahy's fancy dress shopping
• cozy one day/ rainy day binge you don't have to think too much about or pay too much attention to

The Not So Good:

• why was it so.. fuzzy looking??

• honestly could've been 3-4 eps not 5
• could've been.. twistier?

Ps: If you liked Meghann Fahy in this definitely watch her in the movies Drop and Your Monster, she's great in both, and quickly becoming one of my favorite actresses :)

I was thoroughly entertained from the jump with this show. It's eerie, twisted, well thought out and interesting. It may not be the best thing you've ever seen but I would put it above most shows I've watched on Netflix. Kevin Bacon is a revelation. He somehow brings a humanity to his characters in every role that many actors don't. Milly alcock surprised me and did a great job. This isn't necessarily my genre but It hooked me, from start to finish and I binged it all the way through. On a weekend nonetheless which is no easy feat. If Netflix wants to stand out against apple TV and Hulu this is the way to go.

I recently binge-watched Sirens, and it's safe to say the series delivers an engaging mix of mystery and excitement. The first two episodes do a fantastic job of setting up the eerie atmosphere of the island, gradually building suspense and keeping the audience eager to uncover what's next. The pacing is excellent, striking a balance between tension and intrigue, with well-crafted exchanges that enhance the storytelling.

Julianne Moore is absolutely captivating as Kiki, embodying the air of mystery that keeps viewers wanting more. Her performance adds layers to the unfolding narrative, making her character feel both elusive and compelling. Sisters Devon (Meghann Fahy) and Simone (Milly Alcock) also shine.

While the core storyline may follow familiar mystery-thriller conventions, Sirens stands out through its stunning cinematography and a well-crafted score that heightens every moment. The visuals bring the tension to life, and the music complements the series' suspenseful tone.

Overall, Sirens is definitely worth the watch!

I binged the series, and found it entertaining. But will likely have forgotten it by next week. If you enjoy watching dramas of the extremely wealthy, (think Perfect Couple, Revenge) then you'll enjoy this too. Nothing particularly noteworthy - the acting was good, the plot was interesting. Kind of like enjoying a good meal in a chain restaurant- you are happy while eating and have no regrets, but then by tomorrow you don't give it another thought.

So if you want a relaxing evening, grab some snacks and watch it all in a night. It is definitely meant to be binged. Great setting and costumes too.

It was a very good five episodes. One to watch if you like a surprise.

Sat and watched all in one go and enjoyed every episode.

I will admit it was not the Story I was expecting, which made it even better.

Loved all the characters, great casting, the ending was a nice touch not good or bad.

I was on the edge of my seat a couple of times, which is usually rare for me. You think one thing is gonna happen then another thing happens. A few funny moments.

A very nice story of five episodes about two sister's and the life of the rich couple and the staff that work there.
