Prairie Dog

OK, I get that this isn't Hollywood, it's Canada, so give it a 2 for the effort, but they dropped the ball. I did not expect much from the effects, but the real problem here is the story. It jumps around, has little cohesion, and the movie ends without ending the story. It made no sense. I was really having an issue with the acting, but realized part of that is the Canadian accents, and the rest is the Canadian lack of personality. The mayor calling the sheriff "kid" was also really kind of disrespectful, even if he did know the sheriff's dad and got him the job. They start talking about a monster, when no one had lived to even mention there might be one. Lame.

The movie was flow from the very beginning. I thought it would pick up but no go. If you want to watch something scary this movie is not for you but if you want some noise in the background while you do something else, this is a movie for you.

Slow, ponderous, tedious and wooden acting sums up my immediate thoughts after viewing this garbage. The daughter and the environmental consultant provided the best acing by far. There is nothing about this turgid mess I can recommend. Don't waste your time.
