This Doesn't Change Anything

Drawing on material released in 2021 on the Transfixed website under the "Transgressive" banner, this Adult Time DVD pairs two compatible dramas about personal issues facing transsexuals. It's a hard-hitting form of entertainment, certainly the best scripts from usually underachiever Midnight that I've seen in recent memory.

"It Doesn't Change Anything" stars Draven Navarro and Emma Rose as a stepfather and daughter who come to terms with a secret: Draven only discovers that his kid is transsexual when he finds an old photo in the closet (no, that's not meant as a pun or hint) showing his wife Ariel X with two sons, when in fact she had a son and a daughter when he married her.

Ariel fesses up that her son had transitioned years before she met Draven, but he feels betrayed by such a big secret kept from him, all in Ariel's quest to protect her offspring from the ongoing prejudice against trans people. Draven confronts his daughter, but their love outweighs his anger, and she seduces him, resulting in a satisfying sex scene and Emma pegging dear old daddy.

Title segment presents another story revolving around transition. Aptly cast Casey Kisses stars (she had an autobiographical feature about her real-life transition released by Adult Time) as a trans women who meets her old college roommate Johnny Hill by chance at a party and he doesn't recognize the roommate Andrew who is now an attractive, tall woman named Ashley. They lost touch after graduation and he's shocked.

But Casey explains what happened, and both agree that they were close (strictly platonic) before and still have feelings for each other. This scene believably leads to a sexual encounter and Casey pegging the guy.

Without getting preachy, both stories provide some lessons in tolerance and are quite positive in their messaging.
