    I love John Perkins' laugh

I just watched this movie about a serial killer who's also a videomaker and makes videos with his victims. There are some gory killings, but one with donuts was kind of funny. I love John Perkins' laugh, it makes everything feel even more absurd. The story's a bit thin, but you can tell he's having second thoughts at times. I really liked the part where he talks about his son Liam. The website helps make sense of the movie. It's not your typical Found Footage film; you've got to watch it in small doses, one killing after another. I'm hoping for a sequel that explains the first one better.

When a killer turns murder into art

The John Perkins Tapes is some wild stuff. I had to hit up the blog on the official site to really get it. John Perkins is this dude, a videomaker, who figures out he's got these dark, murderous vibes. He ditches his city and family, roaming Nevada to find people to film... and kill. It's all shot like found footage, so you're stuck seeing only what John records.

The deaths, usually starting with some messed-up torture, feel way too real. After he kills, he keeps the camera rolling, dropping voiceovers where he's, like, judging or analyzing the person's life. It's like he's turning these murders into some twisted art project. This ain't your usual horror flick. It's a brutal ride with straight-up savage moments, mixed with a few chill bits. I won't ruin it, but what if Perkins isn't doing this solo? What if something way darker is pulling the strings?

Another Bad Extreme Found Footage Movie

The John Perkins Tape is one of those "found footage" films where a serial killer decides to film himself murdering people yet for some stupid reason catches almost none of the violence on film. Yet he likes to wax philosophical nonsense about each murder is his art and how it all means something. You would think for someone who's proud of showing his art he would you know; actually show it. Instead of masking his crimes in shadows and choppy editing with random home video nonsense. But instead just more gibberish in annoying voice filter about being an artist, then some random live music breaks, and occasionally some badly filmed off screen violence. To add to the crap you get plenty of annoying grindcore music (why does every bad extreme found footage movie have grindcore music?)

If you've seen any of the Reel films you've pretty much watched this. It's the absolute same atheistic all around. And honestly I think those movies are made better even though they're pretty bad! Yea so don't waste your time with this one.
