The Last Outlaw

I thought the acting was certainly professional, bearing in mind many of these actors don't have a great deal of experience. Remember, you weren't that great when you began your professional career, I know I certainly wasn't. I saw a great deal of potential in these young actors as well as some of the older ones. The music score was very good, the costumes were as good as they could be on a low budget film. You can't blame that on the costume designer. It cost money for a good wardrobe. I think whoever the wrangler was they did an excellent job with the animals used in the film. Overall I think it was a fine picture to be released straight to video. Everyone should be proud of the work they have done and the craft they represented. I will probably watch it again. For all of you dishing out the negative reviews I would like to see you try your hand in the industry.

Not the best Western ever made for sure, but... It does make for a good story. I rated it 4 stars for the story but nothing else is even close to being above a 2 star. It is not original. It is another 'A stranger came to town to learn a story from the town's history.' Based on real people in history this fictional story is about a crooked mayor trying to steal gold from the town's gold mine, thought to be played out but not. Part of his ruse is to blame the murders of those that could expose him on the real Johnny Ringo. Johnny Ringo wants to clear his name for crimes that he did not commit. Bat Masterson comes to town to clear up the criminal activity. Suspicious of Ringo, Bat eventually teams up with Ringo to solve the mystery. ~ Obvious micro budget, I don't believe that they even had a lighting or sound team/department. Terrible directing, acting, & very mechanical dialogue. With better everything the story could have gone somewhere...
