JOPET CARISMO (early 60's) is a grump who no longer sees the purpose of life following the loss of his wife. This former host of the longest running children's puppet show in the country is ready to end it all, but his plans are interrupted when his granddaughter, MADDIE (8), barges in on his doorstep in the middle of his suicide attempt. Maddie witnesses her grandfather's attempt inside the toilet and runs in to save him, but as she tries to stop the old man from hurting himself, she knocks over the television set next to the tub electrocuting them both, mysteriously transporting them inside the world of PaPet Time Adventures. As they enter the magical world of puppets that Jopet created, Maddie convinces the old man to give life another shot as she challenges him to see the world differently through an enchanting journey leading to an unlikely bond that will turn his life around.
