The story of Circus was supposedly in Dayal's head for more than seven years. But since a train needed to be used for an extensive period of time along with a top star, it turned out to be almost impossible until Ganesh came around.
The movie has six different cinematographers in the film. Shekhar Chandra is the main cinematographer, the rest - like PKH Das, S Krishna, AV Krishnakumar, Satya Hegde put in guest appearances and shot songs or scenes of their choice.
A special train was acquired for 20 odd days.
The songs includes a re-rendition of Ilayaraja's song from 'Nee Nanna Gellalaare' - Jeeva Hoovaagide.
A song was shot in an actual circus and Ganesh did all his stunts by himself without using a stunt double.
