This is one heck of an ambitious series, and somehow the producers pull it off. It starts with a bang, White Lotus-style: medical students working in a lab discover an untouched cadaver. They call their supervisors over - "Hey, there's an extra body here." And that's when the Haifa Police Department gets involved.

Yep, you guessed it, it's not a lab error - this body has been laundered and planted in the lab, the perpetrators hoping for it to be carved up and shipped off without anyone being the wiser.

Enter Detective Iris Abramov, a perceptive, relentless, "Mare of Easttown" style character whose personal life is a mess, who is despised by her colleagues (you'll find out why), and is her boss's biggest annoyance. She's paired with the wonderful and magnificent Shalom (my favorite character of the series, whose story ends with a twist), and together they unravel a complex criminal mystery.

This plot gets really twisted, and the actors never let you get lost. They've got this under control. THE 11th BODY (int'l title I found it under) gets the job done, and then some.
