I mean it's obviously scripted and not real. They can "evade" bear if they choose but there is no way the production crew would let them do that. Walk 50m in a random direction in the pit and then lie down and cover themselves with leaves and branches would have a 100% success rate of evading capture, but no way they would be allowed to do that.
Other than watching a bunch of unfit old incapable "celebs" wander around aimlessly not understanding what they are doing, there is not much to see here.
It's noise in the background while you do something else, I personally was baking some amazing food, good background noise.
Also as an aside, when did men become so pathetic and incapable of handling anything?

Its "Celebrities" playing hide and seek for an hour then crying to camera saying its the toughest challenge they've ever faced. If 6 year olds play it for fun then its not that intense and the over the top breakdowns to camera come off a bit ridiculous.
There's too big a divide between the level of difficulty and the contestants reactions all the way through, at one point one of them's talking about how the experience has changed her forever..... that's fine but it was the second day and she hadn't even been in the 'Bearpit' yet, which is where they play hide and seek.
It's watchable but it's more of a background show while you're doing housework, no need to lock in.

Very good show. Quite enjoyable.
You don't get to see much contestant development . It seems very rushed though; cheap editing style. Very good cinematography and use of angles. It's sometimes creates overly dramatic in certain scenes but lackluster in ones that could be milked of its dramatics.
Did love it though.
It kept adding in twist like not being allowed to evade; then removing it two episodes. The finale didn't do alot. You barely got to know Una then she gets to the final and I was just questioning whether or not she had been added in the last episode. My main problem though was putting Lawrence into unsafe conditions nearly letting him die.
I am being very nit pick. I did still enjoy it as you can see I gave it a 7/10.

While this is a Netflix show, it's really a show which is very similar to something you would have seen on Channel 4 at some point in your life.
The show is advertised as Bear Grylls hunting down celebrity's in the jungle, but in reality he's just playing hide and seek with them in a closed off area. An area which, as you continue to watch the episodes, you soon realize is very small.
This premise is quite entertaining early on but becomes repetitive by around the third or forth time they do it since the escape roots are the same rotation.
The enjoyment is also ruined the moment it becomes apparent Bear knows exactly where all the exits of the "Bear pit" are, so he just waits close by for the celebrities to come to him.
Each episode could probably be helped by being a little shorter, as other than the odd bits of drama that the daily challenges create, they can feel a bit long as we continuously hear over an over about how hot the weather is.
Overall its just ok, something to pass the time if you want something easy to watch, but i cant help feel like it could have been a lot more than it is.

How can you hide from someone when being followed by a film crew? Unrealistic and bogus. If you are going to make a survival based program, then it has to be real. I was hoping of better things, but alas it suck a fat one. Most of the Z list celebrities are annoying at best and have just turned up for the pay cheque. If this is the best that Netflix can produce then i will have to reconsider my subscription. If you want to see better survival program they could learn from Alone and Australian survivor. I'm not sure what Bear Grills has been on, but why does he insist on trying to look flash by sky diving out of helicopters and driving monster trucks. God only knows why Holly Willoughby is on the show (she brings absolutely nothing to it)
