To all my deshi people out there, please watch this movie. Give it a shot, offer your constructive feedback, and let's help our industry grow in a really good way. Respect to the makers!
So, I went into "Jongli" on Chorki completely blind - no trailer, zero idea what it was about. Honestly, for the first bit, I was just waiting, thinking, "Okay, if this doesn't get interesting in the next 10 minutes, I'm out." But then, wow, the story really started to unfold, and I found myself getting completely hooked.
And here's the kicker: it wasn't just a good story. As it developed, I was genuinely surprised to find it tackling crucial social causes. It was amazing, and I have so much respect for the makers for that alone. What makes "Jongli" truly stand out, especially from a Bangladeshi cinema perspective, is how bravely it brings up two incredibly important issues. Beyond the general social preaching, the film specifically touches upon "Touch", and then, BAM! That ending. Seriously, when they dropped the phrases on "Parenting" right at the very end as the big reveal of why everything happened? That was a total shocker and honestly, it's the best part of the whole movie for me. It just made everything click. It's genuinely rare to see a single Bangladeshi film address topics like these so directly and powerfully, and I have immense respect for the filmmakers for bringing these crucial causes to light.
The casting across the board was really good. You can see the talent there, and I'm really hoping to see them grow their skills even further in future projects.

A very very good film of siam's career.... And i think this is the best film of him....story was superb very emotional story......all actors worked their job goodly.... Background music was moderate i think it could be better.... All songs were good i liked two of them......this is the debut film of the Director,i think the director will give us another good film in coming years.....i wish a very good luck of him.....the film is underrated with compared to other....it need be blockbuster because story was very very good compared to the recent films of Bangladesh that is released in eid....it emotionally attached me....it made me about cry at the last scene..... The girl's acting was very good as a child artist.... Cinematography was moderate it could be better.... But finally i can say it was a good film.
One of the cleanest works in Siam's recent movies. The story was impressive; the actors and actresses tried their level best to give the best output, and honestly, they did it so well.
Especially Bubly, the lead actress of this film, has done this assignment so well that sometimes her acting foreshadows the lead's acting.
In my opinion, the music was good...especially when it comes to emotional movies, you need to choose slow tempo music, and they did that.
Honorable mention goes to the child actress Rudromoyee; she did a splendid job. Most of the time you will think about her acting skills. She definitely deserves a national award for this.
Let's talk about the cons. The climax, when they arrest the lead for accusing child abuse and the court session, could have been longer and more interesting. It finished really quick, which also affected the movie. Also, some points they need to work on dialogue. Overall it was a great attempt when it comes to the director's debut film.
Final verdict: Though it seems underrated, obviously it's a must-watch movie for Bengali movie lovers.

Blend of action, drama, and family emotions that keeps the audience engaged from start to finish. Directed with finesse, the movie delivers high-energy fight sequences, gripping storytelling, and a strong emotional core that resonates with family audiences. Well-choreographed action scenes and beautifully shot family moments. The background score adds intensity to the fight sequences, while the songs provide the right emotional weight. A perfect entertainer for families who enjoy action-packed films with strong moral values. While the storyline follows some familiar tropes, the execution, performances, and high-octane action make it a must-watch.
It could be an above average movie at best. I Don't know why some people are calling it a cinematic masterpiece. I mean it is nowhere near that. The story is good but presented in a way that would cringe any typical movie buffs. I felt uncomfortable so many times with the cringe dialogues and weirdly paced storytelling and songs in every 15/20 minutes. The last 20/30 minutes is good. I think this is why the movie is being praised so much because it has an emotional ending. But other than that, despite having a good story, i did not like this movie at all.
Alright enough with the bad things. The acting was really good. Specially siam and the child actress did really great in their roles. The story is good. The songs are good but too many to remember. Could be better to use less songs.
