Crash Site

I think this short film features a strong performance by Steven Yeun, best known for his role in The Walking Dead series. This time, he plays a man who discovers a mysterious object falling from the sky and decides to take it with him before military helicopters arrive at the crash site. We follow his attempts to communicate with the object and his growing obsession with uncovering its secrets-secrets he believes are linked to extraterrestrial intelligence.

The film is an intriguing blend of science fiction and suspense thriller, with a strong emphasis on the psychological journey Yeun's character undergoes. As a result, we witness a range of emotions, from excitement to disappointment, and from paranoia to determination and desperation. I liked the core premise of this sci-fi short and would definitely be interested in seeing a full-length film based on it.

What an amazing throw back while also feeling so contemporary. The relationship between the friends, the secrecy and mystery left me hanging. I can see why so many viewers want to know what's next and similarly I would love to see where this story goes - Part 2 or full feature! Steven and Sam's performances are amazing too - all around impressive.
