Catherine Bell in The Good Witch's Wonder (2014)

FAQ

The Good Witch's Wonder

Caught up in the herculian task of planning a wedding in six days for son Brandon (Matthew Knight) and his fiancée Tara (Ashley Leggat), Middleton's good witch Cassandra 'Cassie' Nightingale Russell (Catherine Bell) hires newcomer Audrey Bennett (Rachel Wilson) to work at the Bell, Book & Candle in order to take some of the load off her. When newly-elected mayor Martha Tinsdale (Catherine Disher) also asks for Cassie's help heading up a silent auction fundraiser for the Middleton Botanical Gardens and Audrey suddenly absconds with the items for the auction, Cassie refuses to lose faith in Audrey, even when Cassie's husband, police chief Jake Russell (Chris Potter), has Audrey apprehended as the thief.

The Good Witch's Wonder is the seventh movie in the Hallmark Channel's The Good Witch series, created by screenwriter Rod Spence. It was preceded by The Good Witch (2008) (2008), The Good Witch's Garden (2009) (2009), The Good Witch's Gift (2010) (2010), The Good Witch's Family (2011) (2011), The Good Witch's Charm (2012) (2012), and The Good Witch's Destiny (2013) (2013).. The screenplay for The Good Witch's Wonder was written by G. Ross Parker.

A bit more than three years, given that Grace was less than two years old in Destiny, whereas she is in Kindergarten in Wonder, making her five years old, a time span of at least three years.

Cassie calls it 'root extract but dies but does not specify what kind of root.

Vindaloo, Brandon's favorite dish, is a spicy East Indian dish prepared with meat, potatoes, and curry.

When Jake asks Cassie about her background in The Good Witch, she tells him that her given name is Sue Ellen Brock. She further explains that she is the daughter of performers who traveled all over Europe. When her parents were killed in a car accident near Zurich, Switzerland, she was sent to live in the United States. Eventually, she changed her name to Cassie Nightingale and moved away because she didn't want to be found.

Come the day of Brandon and Tara's wedding in the Middleton Botanical Garden. Tara, wearing a short white dress with black ankle boots, walks up the aisle with Aunt Beverly (Kathleen Laskey), both of them led by Grace (Lily-Fay Mowbray) throwing flower petals. Jake and Cassie sit in the audience, beaming proudly. Lori (Hannah Endicott-Douglas) is there with her boyfriend Jim (Connor Price), and Audrey is there with Deputy Derek (Noah Cappe). Grandpa George (Peter MacNeill) records the event on his iphone so that his wife Gwen, who is out West visiting her grandchildren and couldn't get a flight on one day's notice, can see the ceremony. As mayor, Martha begins to officiate but, when she starts to go off on her memories of her own wedding, Brandon interrupts her and presents Tara with his own vows. After the ceremony, Brandon and Tara inspect the wedding 'cake', which is actually three tiers of cinnamon-spiced cupcakes. Tara remembers that cinnamon was in the cookies that Brandon gave her on the day they met. Martha thanks Cassie for holding the wedding in the Gardens, noting that the business community will be eager to sponsor the Garden, and Cassie thanks Martha for recovering all the stolen items for the auction. Audrey announces that she's going to veterinary school and returns the vial of root extract to Cassie because she won't be needing to find courage anymore. In the final scene, Jake and Cassie take sips from their glasses of champagne and remark on all the happy faces. A slow song begins, and they start to dance. Jake suggests that they move onto the dance floor to get better footing, and Cassie remarks that she's dancing on air. They then share a kiss that's a bit longer than their usual peck on the lips.
