Summaries

  • JOHN AT PATMOS, AN ALLEGORY - In this allegory, Apostle John is incarcerated by the Romans on the Island of Patmos and fed by a Greek slave woman. Being the last living Apostle, he is frustrated and asks God to let him die. Angels appear, then Apostle Paul visits from Paradise. John shares his experience of being the only disciple at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Paul encourages John to write down visions coming. Angels guide John as he sees the apocalyptic final battle between good and evil. He suffers an attack from his Roman Guard. When the book of Revelations is complete, another visitor arrives and John mysteriously disappears. The slave receives a message from the Holy Spirit to take John's writings to Christians in her village at Ephesus. Commentary is provided by James Allen Moseley, The Bible History Guy, LLC. This film is part one of a two part film, In The Sea of Grace, created by Actors' Theater of South Carolina and Bridgestone Multimedia Group/Twin Engines - Part two is "Light for Your Journey"—Chris Weatherhead, Director/Producer
