The good man has built a house, planted an apple tree, poured himself a beer. A neighbour, who has built a larger house, appeared in the neighbourhood. The good man went to welcome him with a mug of beer. The neighbour raised the house one floor higher, which made the good man envious. He decided to expand his home. Each of them continued to build additional floors in their buildings, until both buildings collapsed and crushed their owners. After their death, they started another (holy) race. A bitter joke about envy and hatred - a force that drives the entire humanity. The director of the film, Lechoslaw Marszalek, an author of animated films for children, was the creator of Rex, also involved in other popular series released by Studio Filmow Rysunkowych in Bielsko-Biala (including Bolek and Lolek and The Adventures Of The Little, Blue Knight). He won the first international award in the history of Polish animation: he was awarded for The Goat Kid at the International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary.—unknown
