I really wanted to like this show but Travis Kelsey is so dry. It is almost unwatchable. I'm not sure who made the decision to pick him as the host but he is just unbearable. The show itself could use some work as well. The celebrities are not really even featured. I had a hard time getting through even three episodes. And I don't think I left a single time. I can't even remember smiling a single time. For the show to be successful they need to have better celebrities, or more entertaining celebrities for that matter. A better host. And all around better content. It has potential but this is not it.
Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity is filled with many known faces (and some not so known, if you don't really keep up with American comedians). Whether you know the contestants or not, you'll enjoy the hilarious banter between everyone.
I wasn't expecting Travis Kelce to be this good! Kelce really shines as a host on this show. There is some serious tension between these contestants sometimes. I don't blame them; a big money prize is on the line. However, Kelce does a great job of defusing that tension with his own quick wittiness and jokes. You can tell the contestants are comfortable with him, and that allows for big personalities to shine bright throughout these episodes. So far, the first three episodes have been funny and just a great overall atmosphere compared to other reality TV shows on Amazon right now. Great job!

Travis is a great host, the celebrities are funny and make the show entertaining...of course the questions are "simple" it's up to grade 6 questions...lol. Since tv is so filled with hate and nonsense it's just fun to watch something that's not so negative, political, war filled, etc. Its a light hearted fun show the kids, husband and I like to watch and see who can get the answers first.....the first episodes guest kinda annoying but get past that and the celebrities get more relaxed and comfortable. The laughs between them all honestly make the show worth the watch...Travis's smile is a great added bonus lol.
So, I am not from the US. Fortunately. The contestants are really ignorant. And I mean shockingly. The level of ignorance displayed is fascinating even with "educated" contestants. The bar of the correct answer is so low, that even a mispronounced answer that is then written incorrectly is taken as correct. Celebs are even more ignorant than the contestants. The whole quiz is tragedy of US educational system at display. And people involved are actually excited...
The hype up done by everyone involved is sad. I don't know the mental level of the person who would actually match it at home. If you're kid, I could understand.
There are actually two celebs that know their stuff. The female comedian and the footballer with the beard. The rest of them are barely useful or completely useless.

I expected Kelce to be so goofy and really awkward with this being his first hosting gig but he is charming as hell and looks amazing. He's a natural at this kind of thing. Travis's interactions with Ron, Nikki, Natasha and Ocho steal the show but he's also really quick witted with contestants like when they try to "hit" on him. He's really a great and genuine conversationalist with both the celebs and the contestants. Love his true or false dance that was seemingly spontaneous and then everyone loved it so much they make him keep doing it. To improve the show make the end prize worth more and get rid of some of the celebs who are more devoid of personality like Lala (surprisingly) and Sophia who are kind of meh and I'd love to see another season. Lilly is lots of fun too - love her. Also a buddy comedy with Ron and Travis would be amazing!! Yes please.
