As of March 4, 2014, HBO has opted not to proceed with The Money, its drama pilot written by David Milch, directed by Justin Chadwick and starring Brendan Gleeson.
It appears that's "Succession" is HBO's choice for a media empire with a dysfunctional family show. "The Money" sounded very similar. Written by David Milch ("Deadwood") and starring Brendan Gleeson, it would have undoubtedly been an excellent show.
