As a Turkish person I loved this movie since we have similar cultures and lives when it comes to sport Boxing. In Turkish there is a saying Felek Çember which means someone reaching to victory in his career, coming from a poor and hard difficult life. Since Football is the only professional sport in worldwide Amateur sports needs more effort, good fortune and discipline. Especially if it is a personal sport instead of a team sport it is all about you,the person himself. It is fair to say unless you get a medal in Olympics at sports such Boxing or wrestling it is really hard to make a career. Anyway this movie tells the rise of a poor person from bottom to Top and I can guarantee that You will love the movie.
Well written and you have sympathy with some of the key characters. I love most boxing films and this didn't fail to entertain. Some comedy, drama and emotional scenes all done quite well. It's a little long if I do have one complaint. The start is dragged out and could have been reduced.
The ending was quite fitting and wrapped up the movie quite well. Everyone acted really well. It's the first Polish Film I have seen and it's made me want to venture into the world of Polish cinema is this is anything to go by.
If you have 2.5 hrs to kill, this isn't a bad was to spend it.
It's a great little gem.

"Boxer" has its moments but ultimately feels a bit stretched, clocking in at a runtime that could have been trimmed. The story holds promise, but the lead actor's performance falls flat, lacking the depth necessary for a compelling protagonist. However, the main actress shines with a captivating performance that adds some much-needed real emotions to the film. Unfortunately, the boxing scenes miss the mark; they're filled with unrealistic, wide haymakers that no professional would throw, undermining the sport's authenticity. Overall, while there are highlights, "Boxer" fails to deliver a knockout punch.
The best film i've seen in a long time. I came across it randomly on Netflix this morning and i'm so glad I did. I normally avoid foreign films but I've never seen a bad boxing film so I thought id give it a try. I know is a genre that's been extensively covered and I've watched all the classics from Rocky to Hurricane to Cinderella man, Raging Bull, Creed ect ... but I can honestly say this might be my favorite of the lot.
The power of the story feels like a true story. Really don't get how this isn't rated a lot higher it was emotionally gripping from start to finish. Normally with sports films its a written cliche rags to riches and they all live happily ever after - this is not that film, this is raw to the point you feel the pain of all the characters at different points in the film. It feels far more authentic. Brilliant film.

As a non Polish speaker I really enjoyed this movie with subtitles. It was one of the rare movies that was interesting from beginning to end! The way the story came out kept me always on the edge of my seat! Highly recommended & I would love for more movies like this from a Polish film perspective. I felt that also it was uniquely filmed & it left me with a strong feeling! As someone who loves sports movies I can say this isn't limited to just sports. The theme goes far deeper with relationships, love, deep emotion, and the human struggle! The rawness and nothing to hold back attitude of the movie was simply amazing! And lastly I want to say the actors did a fantastic job especially the leading roles! Makes me interested in the Polish movie industry which I didn't expect. Just watcher this because I saw it from Netflix and was left happily surprised with the movie!
