Just completed binge watching this. Vijay Raaz and Ashutosh Raana have done brilliant job. Also,I couldn't find a single character who has given an average or below par performance. The chemistry between both the lead actors was amazing. The first episode feels a little bit slow but once all the characters are established, it doesn't feel that way and you are already hooked on to it.
The story, the direction and the acting are all top class.
The social issues were handled perfectly. The way it shows both the good and bad side of police department was brilliant. I wish to see a few more seasons of this show.

"Murder in Mahim" is an immersive experience that transports viewers into the heart of Mumbai's Mahim neighborhood. The series is a masterful adaptation of Jerry Pinto's novel, with Ashutosh Rana and Vijay Raaz delivering powerful performances that capture the complexity of their characters. The show doesn't shy away from addressing difficult social issues like caste and gender, which are woven seamlessly into the plot. The cinematography is gritty and realistic, enhancing the suspenseful atmosphere. Each episode is a rollercoaster of emotions and revelations, making it a truly compelling watch. This series is a must-see for fans of crime dramas with depth and substance.
While Murder in Mahim boasts a gripping storyline, it's the performances that truly captivate audiences. Shivani Raghuvanshi, Benafsha, and Sonal deliver powerhouse performances, bringing depth and complexity to their characters. Their portrayals add layers to the narrative, making it a compelling watch. Additionally, Ashutosh and Vijay shine in their respective roles, earning praise for their nuanced performances. Their on-screen chemistry is palpable, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the series. Together, they form a formidable ensemble, making Murder in Mahim a must-watch for fans of crime thrillers.
Anwar Says: Aren't you fade up with the similar stuff of same genre on OTT. Homosexuality, Article 377 and story of LGBTQ community have already flooded and this is a fresh entry. Based on the novel of Jerry Pinto's by the same name and it is a very slow burner. Since the director Rajesh Acharya has to shoot eight episodes, many side stories are simultaneously running. If you are doing binge watch , it would be a laborious watch.
On acting front, both Vijay Raaz and Ashutosh Rana are very much in their character. Acharya Ji tried to put some comic angels at some points, which were unnecessary . The sensitive issue of male sex workers has been raised but the narratives hardly humanise the cause and fails to generate empathy for them. Even the primary theme fades away in the parental conflict, shady twists and explaining other sides of queer community.
Not a very interesting watch on Jiocinema . But , the other releases like Yodha and Undekhi-3 are not worth spending relax time. So if you are not a IPL Fan , can give it a try for the actors.

The series is aptly written, with each episode building on the last until the surprising and rewarding conclusion. The conversation is intelligent, gripping and dramatic, making the characters more interesting and improving the series as a whole."Murder in Mahim" talks about the gender equality crime against LGBTQ, raising questions over parents and Indian Mentality towards them. It raises the bar for crime dramas and has a profound effect on its audience. Excellent acting, fantastic writing make this series binge-worthy. Highly recommend to everyone must watch this webseries and Enjoy the acting of Vijay Raaj, Ashutosh Rana ( He is just brilliant ).
