Greta Lee, the star of Past Lives, is going behind the camera for her next project. She's set to direct an adaptation of Monika Kim's bestselling horror novel The Eyes Are the Best Part. The acclaimed novel tells the tale of a Korean-American college student's descent into madness as she becomes a cannibalistic serial killer.
Deadline reports that Lee will also write the script for the adaptation of Kim's 2024 novel, making it her directorial and screenwriting debut. The book centers around Ji-won, a young Korean-American woman whose family has splintered in the wake of her father's infidelity. Her sister is lost and confused. Her mother has an obnoxious new white boyfriend, George, who's making everyone's lives miserable. And Ji-won is dealing with not only her own tumbling grades, but a growing, all-consuming obsession with eating human eyeballs. Conveniently, it just so happens that George is sporting a delectable pair of baby blues.

Brazilian star Wagner Moura has finally taken physical receipt of his Cannes Best Actor Award six weeks after he won the coveted prize for his performance in Kleber Mendonça Filho’s Palme d’Or contender The Secret Agent.
French actress Juliette Binoche, who was Jury President at the 78th Cannes Film Festival in May, surprised Moura on stage at the Cinéma Paradiso Louvre Festival in Paris on Saturday.
Moura and Mendonça Filho were in attendance for a sold-out, open-air screening of thriller The Secret Agent, which also won Best Director in Cannes.
The actor was unable to attend the Cannes Awards ceremony in May because he had left the festival to return to the set of Louis Leterrier’s sci-fi horror 11817 in London.

“Black Panther” co-writer Joe Robert Cole will serve as showrunner and direct the premiere and several other episodes. Executive producers include Cosby, Amblin Television and Higher Ground. Netflix and Higher Ground have worked together on the sports docuseries “Starting 5,” “Bodkin,” “Leave the World Behind,” “American Symphony,” “Rustin” and “Working: What We Do All Day.”
“The Body” is a coming of age drama created by Quinn Shephard.

Staying inside the house for the whole day must sound like heaven for homebodies out there, but it won’t feel as good if there is a known danger lurking just outside the door. This upcoming project from Louis Leterrier challenges the idea of a safe haven, the place where we feel the most secure.
This is Leterrier’s latest project after taking over the production for 2023’s Fast X. He is known for helming big-budget movies with lots of visual effects, so fans are assured that this new science fiction thriller is in good hands. The script comes from writer Matthew Robinson.

What if you were stuck indoors for the foreseeable future? That may sound like an acceptable prospect — in theory — for introverts, but for our heroes in the upcoming film 11817, it’s a disconcerting position to be in, to say the least.
Greta Lee and Wagner Moura will star in the original sci-fi thriller directed by Louis Leterrier. 11817 centers on a family of four who are sealed into their home with no way of getting out. If that doesn’t sound nightmarish enough, their resources are running thin, and they must work together to survive not only a lack of essentials but also the mysterious, looming threat that is keeping them trapped inside.
“11817 challenges the idea of a safe haven, turning a family home into a hostile environment where survival demands unity,” Leterrier tells Tudum. “This is an ordinary family’s worst nightmare, pushing...

Netflix France’s jewel in the crown will be coming back for another season. It’s been rumored for quite some time, and Netflix still hasn’t officially announced the return, but a new casting listing today confirms that the series is set to get back into production this April. Here’s what’s been said about the future of Lupin and season 4 (or maybe a movie?) so far.
Rumors of the renewal have been bubbling away for quite some time. Edward Lauder for Small Screen, citing sources close to the production, first reported that the series was in active development all the way back in October 2023. Since then, all has been quiet. The last we heard about season 4 of Lupin in any official sense was back in October 2024 when Variety snuck in a reference to the show an article about an executive shuffle. They wrote about Lupin...

Louis Leterrier has directed the action films The Transporter, Transporter 2, Unleashed, and Fast X, the action comedies The Brothers Grimsby and The Takedown, the mystery thriller Now You See Me, the fantasy adventure Clash of the Titans, and the comic book adaptation The Incredible Hulk (not to mention the TV shows The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and Lupin), and over the decades his films have racked up $2 billion at the box office. Last May, we learned that he’ll be directing and producing the film 11817, working from a screenplay by Matthew Robinson (The Invention of Lying), which will see him venturing into the sci-fi horror realm. That same month, it was announced that Kingsley Ben-Adir (Bob Marley: One Love) and Greta Lee (Past Lives) would be starring in the film… but now it looks like Ben-Adir has had to drop out, with Wagner Moura (Civil War) stepping in as his replacement.

We’ve seen other big-screen franchises make the leap to TV over the years, but could Fast & Furious be next?
While speaking with Variety, NBCUniversal Studio group chairman and chief content officer Donna Langley teased the future of the Fast & Furious franchise, saying there’s “still gas in the tank” even after the Fast X sequel hits theaters in 2026. Where the franchise goes from there is unclear, but Langley said, “We may pivot another time and bring it back to the streets of L.A. and maybe make it a more intimate story.” After mentioning previous NBCUniversal shows based on movies, such as Pitch Perfect and Ted, Langley said, “Fast and Furious is a good one” for a potential future TV series.
