Upendra Rao and Deepika Padukone's character names are Abhishek and Aishwarya, respectively. Just like in the movie they got married in the end, the real Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai got married in real life.
This is the only Kannada film that Deepika Padukone has acted in.

There were plans to dub the film in Hindi but they were dropped after director and producer had legal problems with each other in 2008.
