- When Lennox, a true crime-obsessed podcaster/writer, witnesses something, Asher shows up asking questions. Lennox keeps him on edge by withholding evidence to tag along on a stakeout, allowing her to solve a true crime mystery firsthand.
- While recording a new episode of her true crime podcast, Lennox overhears a strange conversation between two men in a library. After returning to the library, she meets Asher, an artist who quickly pursues a relationship with Lennox. Asher asks if she meets many men in the library, in particular the two men from the other day. They share a cigarette after exploring an art gallery and set up plans to hang out again. Lennox sees one of the men again and decides to take a few pictures of him before going to meet Asher. The two hang out over and over again, quickly forming a relationship together. However, one night Lennox follows Asher to his office, where it is revealed Asher is a detective who has been searching for the two men from the library as an ongoing investigation and wants to use Lennox as the key witness to the case. Lennox shares the photo of the man with Asher and also agrees to share audio of the men's conversation if Asher lets her tag along on the stakeout. On the stakeout, Lennox separates from Asher and manages to read and record the case file Asher left sitting in the car, which reveals the two men from the library have been robbing stores and killed a man. Lennox notices the man from the library and follows him back to his base of operations, where the man is making chloroform. The man attacks Lennox, the commotion bringing Asher to the scene. When the man turns his attention to Asher, Lennox uses some of the chloroform to knock out the man and brings the case to a close. Both Lennox and Asher walk out together as more police officers arrive on the scene.—Andy Rowland
