At the first sight, a film about a man in grief after the death of his daughter, becoming suspect for police and not only. In fact, realistic portrait of a small comunity and his reactions about tragedy. All - more than realistic..

In same measure, decent exploration of long term friendship in crisis context.

Obvious, not memorable or original. But well performed, exploring, in fair manner, sensitive subjects and offering to Eddy Michell the opportunity to create a reasonable priest portrait.

Obvious, a generous theme like this could be developed more convincing but, against sketch apparence of story, it works in correct terms , reminding the simillar situations and reflecting the vulnerability of a relation when the doubts rule.
