    The way things evolve..

Another great episode that pretty much had me on edge the entire time, cause I felt like the episode was over really fast!

Once again this show, does its own thing, presenting things to us, that no other show have managed to do quite like this, or quite as effectively!

I dont think any other show could pull of a death scene like this! It leaves you both horrorfied, shocked and yet... you also admire it!

The mindgames continue and the dialogue is just brilliant! Fascinating and intrigueging to see who outsmarts who!

The ending was great, thrilling and gives q sense of far Will has come and how far he is willing to go!

    Too audacious to live

This is a strong follow up to the cliffhanger of the previous episode. For me it's most important objective after showing Beverly's reckless behaviour is a suitable outcome and it does so with interest. The art designers of Hannibal pride themselves on creating macabre visuals and this has some unforgettable imagery.

Other highlights of the episode include the manipulative conversations taking place between various characters at the psychiatric hospital. A lot of intrigue is created by the dialogue exchanges, particularly involving Gideon, Graham and Lecter. I am compelled to find out what is going to happen to these over the next few chapters.

That being said we know Hannibal ends up in a cell eventually, so the intrigue goes only so far. Likewise any suspense associated with a certain scene towards the end. Considering the contrivances involved the filmmakers still make it a very cinematic moment full of striking imagery.

For me its an 8.5/10, but I round upwards.

    Impressive sounding editing

As usual this episode meets the series high standard of captivating imagery. In real life a death scene is usually somber, sometimes gruesome, perhaps peaceful, but very rarely beautiful. Again we see stunning scenes of death or near death which are uniquely stylist, horrible, and sad. But for this episode I especially noticed sound editing that thematically used water sounds to connect the characters actions and dreams. The cat and cat game between Hannibal and Will Graham continues to evolve. Those who have read "Red Dragon" as a book or viewed as a movie know how the game ends. The creative team of this series has assembled another suspenseful episode of the journey to that end.
