Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

It feels a bit of a repetition of sentiments and the classic adagium applies: can apes trust humans or not, some apes are super evil: and the question: how wrong are the evil apes actually in the long run. However, the movie doesn't dwell on 'inter-ape' emotions too long. To bond, of course it has 'hello-goodbye-farewell' moments. But I like the fact that it's about a story that evolves, a nice apocalypse type of road trip the protagonists make. So it has some variety. I rate the movie a 7, taking into account that either you like this genre or not. One could argue a lack of ambition, the final scenes are not a 'high' of what you usually expect. A bit predictable. However; there are two more movies plannend: so assuming at least one of them will turn out great: this movie is a fine stepping stone to stay up to date.
