Mavi magara is a beautifully shot movie with incredibly likeable characters. The concept of the story is amazing, the characters are top tier. They are so human, so likeable that is rare in movies. The cinematography is gorgeous. Every shot gives the feeling of beauty and is worth it. By the end, I was truly moved, having come to deeply understand the characters and the message the movie was conveyed.
The lead actors Kerem Bürsin and Devrim Özkan delivered a star-making performances. When their eyes meet, there's a tangible connection between them. They make the characters' love feel so real.

One of the best films I've seen. The love, the sadness, the loss, the happiness, the fear, it's all here. Everything fits together perfectly. Kerem is a great actor but he has also proven to be a very good and magical writer. The harmony with Devrim was something crazy like their chemistry. I hope they still work together. It's not the usual Turkish film full of clichés, it's different, a journey in search of lost love that turns into something surprising. Kerem and Devrim made the characters their own, making them very real and this is why the story becomes real, naked and raw. The last twenty minutes rip your heart and soul out of your chest. This film must be seen, tears are guaranteed.
A most emotional film that surely gets under your skin.
Kerem Bursin is absolutely breathtaking, and Devrim Ozkan is a discovered talent for me.
Intense, very meaningful and remarkable, but the ending is too sad to bear. Make sure that the box of tissues are nearby.
It is also worth mentioning the captivating music that accompanies us almost throughout the film. Whether you want to or not, it will draw you into the story.
I would definitely say that this movie ranks in my top 5 all favorites!
Turkey can be proud of producing such films, and one must wish that there will be more and more of them in the future.

The film has a faster pace at the beginning and slows down as the plot progresses.
We are introduced to Cem, a Marine who has no flair for romance and with Alara, an archaeologist who is reluctant to get involved with Cem because her work as a soldier offers many risks, and she wants something stable, something he cannot offer.
The plot unfolds simply, with the couple's difficulties and how they deal with them and the veiled promise to go to the Blue Cave.
When we reach the end, in the final plot, the viewer is surprised by the twist in the plot, perhaps if the film had more time on the unfolding of some actions or more screen time for the main couple. The end of the film would have more impact, an extra 10 minutes would have been enough in my opinion.
Finally, it is a good film for those who like the style of romance, adventure, the plot is not deep and does not ask you to dwell on it, but it asks you to understand the motivations of the main couple and try see through their eyes.

I loved to idea of the movie, it was a highly creative story, very well written. Every dialogue had the meaning and hidden message.
The last 30 minutes of the movie I could not stop crying. It was so heartbreaking. If you don't tear up watching the very last scenes, then your heart is made of stone.
The actors played their roles extremely well, especially Kerem Bursin as the main character Cem. I think that this movie is a turning point in his career and we will see him even more in international projects. Playing in local turkish things is just not enough for someone who is as talented as him.
I want to avoid spoilers, so I won't go into details, but I definitely recommend watching this movie. It will leave you with a very special feeling and make you think about life.
