I clicked on this out of bored curiosity and loved it, had to watch them all. I had a good few giggles all the way through, I loved the sign by the front door, I need one of them.
I love the way they actors can take the mick out of themselves but also be so relatable and tender at the same time. I agree it's fresh and raw that shines out amongst a bunch of predictable usual comedies. Whilst the actors were amazingly fab they did not overshadow the writing which was witty, and developed to showcase the humans, not a cause, not tricky humour, just humans being thier true and livable selves.
I hope there is a season two of these amazing queens.

What a brilliant funny easy to watch witty comedy drama. Love this series. Only found it because of a BBC3 clip I watched. Cant wait for season 2,3,4,5 + . Easy to watch. It's for everyone both LGBTQI and the hetro community 😆. Everybody should watch it. They storylines are easy to follow and characters loveable. This will brighten up a winters evening for anyone. A great BBC3 comedy drama. Shame it's not heavily advertised it needs to be on in the evening on BBC1 after Eastenders. Fun for all the family, neighbors and friends. Easy to watch and binge watch as each episode is only 30 minutes long.
I can't get enough of this at all. I've not laughed out loud this much for ages. Really well written, heartfelt, and real. I love the characters, the token lesbian, the fag hag, the drag mother, the rancid queen and the twink - some may say cliché but every group has these on the scene. Very relatable as a gay man that's grown up.on the NE scene and experienced the odd night in the 'boro. Only wish Enpire had been a gay club back then! Please renew this for another ten series, I can't wait for the next installment. Kudos to Dunning for thr writing and all the cast for the acting, what a rare and precious find.
Ok, so I'm a Smoggie too!! Maybe I'm a bit biased... absolutely love this show!! It's as daft as a brush and unapologetically Boro. In a troubled world this show is like a breath of fresh air! Really silly jokes, larger than life innuendo and really likeable characters. Hope there's a season two!!It's really nice to see the characters of our area celebrated instead of all the negativity which often surrounds a place like Middlesbrough. My favourite episode was the spoof on the Titanic!! Long live Mam , Dickie and their daft friends. I hope they make a return shortly for more over the top adventures!!
Smoggie queens is sharply written with a lot of heart. It's good, fun, silly humour and the kind of joyful sitcom we have been missing for sometime now.
The 5 main characters are all delightfully unique and work well as group ensemble and the last episode absolutely made me so emotional after spending time with this chosen family. It's proper old school camp and I love it. Doesn't hide away from the queer themes and celebrates it, while not alienating non-queer audiences and bringing them in for the laughs.
I had a brilliant time with this show and am desperate for more. It was so nice to be able to sit back and just allow myself to laugh and have fun with an episode of television. Highly recommend Smoggie Queens!!!
