    Fun to watch

BEWARE OF FALSE REVIEWS & REVIEWERS. SOME REVIEWERS HAVE ONLY ONE REVIEW TO THEIR NAME. NOW WHEN ITS A POSITIVE REVIEW THAT TELLS ME THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE MOVIE. IF ITS A NEGATIVE REVIEW THEN THEY MIGHT HAVE A GRUDGE AGAINST THE FILM . NOW I HAVE REVIEWED OVER 200 HOLIDAY FILMS. I HAVE NO AGENDA. I AM HONEST.

This show is fun to watch. If you love Christmas then this show is a must see. It is great to see how people decorate their homes but it also shows us how people make their own displays.

I always love to see how people hide all those wires. I know people complain about "Disney Characters" being on almost all the houses but let me shed some light (No pun intended) on that.

Some people that put up these lights are not "Religious or Christian". Christmas to them is just a holiday like The 4th of July". Putting up these Christmas displays in front of their home is something they still want to do. Now if you look at stores that sell Outdoor Christmas Displays lots of the items are "Disney" related or items that are characters from the classic Animation specials like "Rudolph" and "Frosty the Snowman". Also ABC is owned by Disney so self promotion is expected. Keep in mind many people are limited to what is available to buy. Most stores its "Disney"

The show is fun. I love watching every episode. I have a DVD of every episode and I love the fact each year my collection is growing.

Now what is so wonderful about the show is that it makes you smile. It does bring out the child in you. Its nice too see how hard people do work and they do it not because of a contest but the "Joy of Christmas".

Stop with the computer generated displays

The show is a great idea and the first few seasons were great. Now they seem to be going with the Extreme Home Makeover route. Every family has a heartfelt sick, dying or dead family member that they do the light displays for and now they are all way over the top computer generated displays. They need to stop with the feel sorry for me and computer/drone displays and just get back to basics. They need normal displays that normal everyday people do. The displays the last couple of seasons are getting ridiculous and to have displays made of drones is jumping the shark. Basically need an engineering degree or a Masters in computers to even compete. Really taking all the fun out of it.

    Another Disney Promo

When my kids were young we had them in a small daycare in a small town in New Hampshire. There was nothing special about the daycare other than it had some Disney characters painted on the side of the building. Then one day we came there and the characters were painted over because the owners had received a letter from the Disney legal department warning them about copyright infringement, with a warning to remove them or else. Disney is famous for vigorously protecting their copyrights.

Fast forward many years to season 9 of The Great Light Fight. After watching 2 amazing light displays we see a house that is entirely decorated in a (very lame by comparison to the other displays) Disney theme. How in the world were they allowed to get away with that?? Oh wait, ABC is owned by Disney so just like many of their other programs they have to chuck in a Disney promotion. It was a good reminder of why I so rarely watch ABC any more.

    Would not recommend

In this show they do not give it to the best house. For example, I just watched one where it was basically a carnival more than anything. They even described it as an "amusement park". But nothing, I mean? 0% of it was related to Christmas and yet that house won. It's not a good show. Along with the host (which kind of has to do this) is saying the same thing for every house like it's unique even when it's not. Do not waste your life. Life is short and please don't waste it on a tv show that doesn't even judge the winner by the criteria. SAVE YOURSELVES!

Was a good show at the start

Went from a good show that judged people on there christmas light set-up, to a show about peoples life stories. Its called the great christmas light fight because of the lights. not because of the persons life story.

The two hosts get everyone's hopes up by telling them they will be hard to beat and they don't end up winning.

The episode I am watching now, they are inside someones house! that has nothing to do with christmas light display. Show went downhill really quick.

Stick with the first two seasons and do yourself a favor and stop there
