La furgo

I just watched the premiere of this little but powerful film in BCN Film Festival and let me tell you, what a debut by Calvo! The drama and comic relief moments are measured with surgeon precision, the story never allows itself to turn overdramatic and that's a win (in any other movie the camera would have gone for more obvious reactions and the music would have turned up!).

Candid, respectful, the main subject is simple yet powerful: that is why I think the ending delivers in a perfect and elegant way.

Also, how the animation parts are integrated in the story makes it even more special.

Last, but not least, what an acting beast Pol López is, surely Spain's own Dustin Hoffman. We should have more of him and he should get all the recognition he deserves.
