Thirst with Shay Mitchell

Was curious about show when I heard about it! Love watching this type of show, Tucci, Bourdain, Zimmern etc. Shay is a jaunty host, seemingly up for anything! There are numerous traval shows that make food the center of attention and local culture. They may throw in a drink once in awhile, but a show focused on local drinks and local culture is definitely wanted and needed! The direct interaction with the camera makes Shay appear approachable and inviting! I would love to have a drink with her! I enjoy the spontaneous comments and her interactions with the local guides and her support crew! The voice over writing is superlative and keeps us engaged! Have watched the first two episodes a few times will watch the third, Argentina, tonight which I am sure will be as pleasurable as the Peru and Columbia episodes. Second season coming soon?!

This travel and food show is incredibly enjoyable - it's a rare gem! I find myself wanting to rewatch every single episode. It's a whole new level of entertainment that bridges the gap between mindlessly scrolling through social media and watching traditional TV. It's like you're right there with the hosts, experiencing every adventure alongside them. I highly recommend watching this incredible show and joining Shay and her crew and guests on each thrilling journey! I can not wait for season 2 and hope there is one - feel good, aspirational, entertaining, educational, fun and beautiful. Must watch!

Host and show are both super engaging. They not only showcase some beautiful storytelling around local cultures and beverages but it also takes us a long for the ride - given you a little taste of the behind the scenes and the realness that goes into creating a show like this, the ups and downs of travel and tackling some fears 😂 Some people here don't realize what the show is trying to do and it shows... Shay takes us on a journey through South America introduces us to some locals and celebrates the rich cultures through the beverages - made me want to visit these places myself - exactly what a travel show should do!

I loved the show. I think it's really smart to use the BTS instead of studio b roll and it makes the locations feel alive. I follow Shay on social and this feels a good cross between the BTS you see on social and normal travelogue. I hope it gets picked up for a second season so I can see more of these things around other parts of the world and see Shay interact with other people and communities. I would highly recommend this show to anyone who is interested in drinking culture / the food space or anyone who just wants to watch a fun, entertaining show that will keep you wanting more each week!

Recommend! My husband and I are really enjoy going this show together! Gorgeous cinematography and travel experiences in off the beaten path locales. It's a light and playful tone that is about connecting human to human across cultures, and with a good social awareness as well. The show foregrounds real people who are proud of their culture and generous about sharing. The host, Shay Mitchell, is so charming and comes across with such humbleness and authenticity, and I like how they show the behind the scenes stuff and not only the glossy veneer of typical travel shows. Watching this show feels like going on vacation with Shay as a friend!
