The ballad-tuned story of father Demeter and his three sons takes us back more than sixty years in the past to commemorate the most significant event of the anti-fascist resistance in Slovakia and Slovak national movement in WWII. The oldest son Ján has been lost in war. Only his wife and father hopes that he returns. The middle son Mato is soldier on side of resistance. The youngest son Peter is quite unclear because he hasn't joined to resistance and there are rumors about collaboration with the occupiers. The fascist's attack makes situation clear and all participants has to choose their side.
