Countdown is finally here and it didn't disappoint. There are a million crime dramas that come out every year so one has to stand out for people to watch it and Countdown definitely stands out and is worth your time. There's one reason this stands out over other crime dramas...Jensen Ackles. I've been a big fan of Jensen Ackles ever since he broke out in Supernatural and he's just as terrific here. He's the best thing about this series as he carries it. Theresa only negative is we have to wait a week between episodes, I hate that and much prefer to binge watch the season in a few days. This isn't going to win any awards and it's not some groundbreaking new show but it is very entertaining and I promise you'll have fun watching it. It will keep you engaged with its non stop action and fast paced story.
I am a huge fan of procedurals or series that have mysteries and then as a result, cases to solve. And an even bigger fan of stories where a band of misfits are bought together to solve it all. When do many different personalities come together, really interesting situations and moments are created.
What hooked me to the show is, that I can see that even though it will solve the main case, it will also form bonds between the team.
I already am loving Mark and Amber's chemistry. That they don't see eye to eye yet and are still forming a team is really interesting.
The cast is really good. Obviously Jensen leads the one as the most effective performer, charismatic, profound, and expressive. And I am further impressed by how well he's carved out Mark as a character. But even the others are great. Waiting for more characters to evolve to speak for others. But very impressed by Jensen, Eric Dane, Jessica Camacho so far.

Wasn't sure I would watch, not a big fan of course shows but what the heck. Was glad I did. First the actors: Ackles, as usual, give a stellar performance. The guy is a gifted actor and has charm to spare... And okay, he's super easy on the eyes. He delivers, he's believable and I can't wait to see her goes. Dane gives a solid, intense performance. He leaves me wanting more! Camacho nails it! She is amazing and her integrity comes through beautifully.
I will be watching all season! I do hope that the pacing picks up, that's the negative but it's the first 3 shows and I look forward to see where it goes.

Only seen two episodes but it's a good start. Good acting and interesting storyline so far. My only issue is with the character that has had an untreated glioblastoma for 9 months. They wouldn't have lived for that long with it untreated and they would have a lot more symptoms and be unable to work. I get it's a TV show but this bit is just way too unrealistic for me (speaking from experience as a close family member had a glioblastoma). I know this is a dumb thing to focus on but it annoys me because they clearly didn't do their research and just pulled a diagnosis that would sound " good and extreme."
Countdown, for me, delivered what it promised. The opening sequence was different from the usual opening for new shows. The cameo at the beginning was good.
Ppl may struggle with the show, because as well as action, there's actual dialogue...y'know, conversations...that require the viewer's concentration & in the age of " I like to scroll through social media, while watching👀" that might be asking a bit too much of some 🤷 I like all the characters, and I'm looking forward to finding out about each of their stories over the next ten weeks. I would suggest using your initiative and finding out for yourself (by watching) whether or not it's for you.
I don't personally look at critics reviews, I'd rather look at a film/series & decide for myself.
Countdown is an enjoyable way to pass the time, for me.
