Information documentary
This movie is based on true story. The movie is a lot better than the reviews I see. I gave it an 8/10. Jordyn was amazing telling us the story of Tanya. She is so talented and brave playing this role! Everyone in this movie was great and talented! It's worth watching. Give the story a chance. There was no parts that was boring and every part kept you wanting to watch more. It gave me the opportunity to look into the story online after watching the movie.
The Girl Locked Upstairs
The girl Locked Upstairs: The Tanya Kach story.
Jordan Ashley Olsen played the character of Tanya. Robert Baker played the villain in this story a real predator. This is the true story based on the life of Tonya KACH. She was a girl that had parents that did not want her and she was put into foster care and that didn't work out for her without giving too much away. This is her story a very sad one but sadly happens way too often with children that are put into foster care from abused abusive families. I think this story has a lesson to all of us and I highly recommend this one it's a lifetime film but it's a good one. Thank you too Tanya for bringing this story to life in this film the girl locked upstairs .

Da** you lifetime, made me cry at the end
Good lord. The best Lifetime movie has a touching story amidst a well below average budget, production values, and theatrical capabilities.
This one was no different.
I love the story over the budget and production values and acting.
I was doing fine this little last 30 seconds when I cried like a baby.
ABOUT MY REVIEWS:
I do not include a synopsis of the film/show -- you can get that anywhere and that does not constitute a meaningful review -- but rather my thoughts and feelings on the film that hopefully will be informative to you in deciding whether to invest 90-180 minutes of your life on it.
Effective immediately as of the day that I am writing this, I am docking at least one star for every documentary that takes us into the director's chair. I am tired of seeing the clapperboard clapped and the pre-show banter banter between the off screen narrator and guest, or the guests pre-show musings. Historically networks would have been embarrassed if that wasn't edited out, but now it's become common useless filler and utter garbage. Minus one star for you, do better.
My scale: 1-5 decreasing degrees of "terrible", with 5 being "mediocre" 6- OK. Generally held my interest OR had reasonable cast and/or cinematography, might watch it again 7 - Good. My default rating for a movie I liked enough to watch again, but didn't rise to the upper echelons 8- Very good. Would watch again and recommend to others 9- Outstanding. Would watch over and over; top 10% of my ratings 10 - A classic. (Less than 2% receive this rating). For Lifetime Movies for Chicks (LMFC), drop the above scale by 3 notches. A 6 is excellent and 7 almost unattainable.
