A soldier gets attacked by the Xenomorph, during the struggle he fires at least a couple dozen rounds from his pulse rifle. Prior to him being attacked, the ammo capacity readout said "95", which seems to be the rifle's maximum ammo capacity. But when Hermit picks up the rifle the counter readout says "84", a lot more than 11 shots were fired.
