Tomilin has a business - he takes people on balloon rides, or, more simply, hot air balloons. Oksana and Dima are balloon pilots who work for Tomilin. Dima doesn't like Oksana for being too correct, Oksana can't stand Dima for being careless and sloppy. Tomilin doesn't love anyone, he's tired of everything and dreams only of the day when some rich donkey with long ears will come along and buy his business along with the balloons and pilots. Until this happens, aeronauts take to the skies again and again, encounter oddities, solve impossible problems, and, moreover, slowly overcome the long path from hatred to love.
