This show has pretty interesting stories, as a newcomer to alien encounter docs. However, the editing of this show is absolutely terrible. Everything is SO SLOW and dragged out.
The same clips are just used over and over again. With up to 3 clients an episode, you're seeing the same clip x3 for intro/during/outro but also per person, so x12 of the same "You have/haven't encountered a UFO".
The resolution is also so unsatisfying. Nothing happens! It's a yes or no and then... okay bye! It seems like there could have been more follow up, especially with the people who were told they hadn't encountered a UFO. Did those individuals go on to keep digging for the answer they wanted? What were the results?
This show had potential but needs a LOT of editing. LAZY TV.

As with most shows at the start they're trying to find their footing and as the season progressed Chrissy and Mitch really came into their element and you could see the chemistry of the two personalities mesh together.
I like the approach of having two different opinions and having a open discussion, they both bring alot to the show and I am most definitely looking forward to second season!
If they do a second season it would be really cool if they went into the field and maybe even touch base with some of the hopie people in the area etc.
Great show overall, and a great team that listens to people while also approaching things in a manner where they're not jumping to conclusions!!

Alien Encounters: Fact or Fiction stands out in the crowded field of UFO and alien-themed shows by prioritizing rational explanations over sensationalism. Rather than jumping to conclusions about extraterrestrial involvement, the show diligently explores logical and scientific explanations for sightings and phenomena, which likely account for 99% of the cases.
Chrissy's commitment to uncovering the facts is particularly commendable. Her approach brings a refreshing level of skepticism and critical thinking to the series, setting it apart from other shows that often lean towards dramatization and hype. This focus on factual investigation makes Alien Encounters: Fact or Fiction a must-watch for anyone interested in a more grounded and realistic exploration of unexplained events.

When I saw a new Alien show out, I was a little amped. I can only watch so many of the old shows so many times before I completely burn out.
Is this real or is it meant to be satire? There is literally nothing about this show I enjoyed. From the extensive plastic surgery and war paint Chrissy displays to how Mitch presents his verdict like he is the Alpha and Omega of all that is Alien.
And the first episode? Where in the h#ll did they find that guy? I mean yeah, he's what California has stereotyped itself as over the years, but come on man. Right out of the gate with that idiot?
Let's talk about how they present the findings... dramatic pause... You know when you watch a movie and you can tell the producers are brand new to what they're doing? This is what you get.
Terrible setting. Ridiculous hosts. Second rate production. I didn't make it past the second episode and have removed it from my list. I was elated that discover I wasn't the only one who regretted losing time off my life for this tragedy.
Fire everyone who green-lit this and blacklist those who participated.

I'm still working my way through the episodes, but this is a lot of fun! Chrissy and Mitch are excellent choices for hosts. They seem to be cast in strict, defined roles for the show, and I wonder if, in future seasons, they could be allowed to break out of that a bit. I would also love to hear an ongoing long-form podcast co-hosted by them. (Does that already exist!?) Also: absolutely LOVE the slow editing pace. Most shows in this genre move too fast, so THANK YOU to whoever made that stylistic choice. Fantastic production quality all-around. Love the choice of filming in that bar, which is a great vibe! Looking forward to watching the rest of this season.
