It has been some years since Goodbye Goddess. As a long time Slug Street Scrappers fan, this entry was a welcome surprise!!! I was grinning ear to ear from beginning to end.
The characters that returned feel as though they have matured (mostly) not just age and look wise. That's a testament to the writing of the story. It has a good amount of silliness and a good amount of seriousness. Also, the new characters feel as though they belong to the Slug Street universe (I have a new favorite. Won't reveal who just yet).
I feel everything in this film has been elevated. From the acting, to the fight choreography. If this the beginning of what to expect from Slug Street, I can't wait to see what comes next!!!

Great film and after many years the gang is back I really enjoyed this movie the fight scenes were all perfectly done like in the past 4 films and the story line really keeps you at the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is going to happen next and who is behind all of the chaos happening and the comedy music and fights were really well done. And the quality of the film watching it in 1080p made it so much better. The new cast of characters also with the returning cast really really put a lot and I mean a lot of their heart to make sure that the fight scenes were to be real as possible.
Seen it.
Love it.
More please.
The only thing that really stinks about this passion project sequel is that it took so long to happen. But, you can't rush art, and make no mistake this is art.
I admit, there are a few things that I don't like. Some characters return, some don't, some messy details here and there, but I still like what we got.
Obviously, this isn't the end of SSS not by a long shot, and I look forward to seeing where things go.
I really hope the next chapter/s come out sooner rather than later.
Is this passion project sequel worth seeing? Hell yeah it is!!!👍👍👍
But don't take my word for it. Watch it for yourself.

Just as the Continue Screen countdown seemed to be about to reach zero, Micah Brock and Shaun Charney have added some quarters to the arcade machine and brought back the beat-em-up inspired series: Slug Street Scrappers.
The fight scenes are realistic where it matters, over the top when appropriate, and always exciting to watch.
If you enjoyed the previous titles in the SSS series, you will find yourself right at home with this latest entry.
Newcomers to the franchise might be a little winded at first but should catch up pretty quickly, thanks to the lore being explained through character's dialogue and brief flashbacks.
Looking forward to seeing more from Whirlwind Action and all of the martial artists they feature!

I was worried that it wouldn't be as good as it was back in the day (because most revivals are kind of toilet water nowadays), but I'm really glad to see that my fears were unfounded! Not only does SSS Regen maintain the spirit of the original films whether you watched them as films or the tv series version, but the production quality has gone through the roof. It's hard to believe they made something this quality this with no budget. Their experience is showing for sure. They gave us a pretty good balance of returning OGs and new characters. The only thing I was disappointed about was that it was over before I even knew it. It's not even a short movie, it's like 2 hours. It was just really good and everything kept me invested the whole time so 2 hours flew by. Can't wait for the next one!
