Losing my interest

This show started strong. Like a lot of serial dramas, though, it's become a bit of a soap opera with drawn out subplots and repeat beats. No new surprises or twists. Instead, the plot has broken into multiple strands / stories - the Martian / Samia "A" story, the missing Coyote "B" story, the new recruit and her mission in Iran "C" story.

A is getting redundant. B I find hard to follow or care about. Too many characters and places and references. It doesn't help that it's hard to understand the dialog much of the time, which is full of jargon and acronyms and code words. And the C story feels a bit trite.

Probably just mid-series sogginess; I hope it tightens back up.

The SVR is the Russian Federation's Foreign Intelligence Service and the FSB is the Domestic one.

Goofs
During the teleconference with Langley and the White House curtains were closed covering the glass between the conference room and the rest of the office floor. However, no curtains were closed to cover the windows to the outside of the building. Despite there being security devices imbedded in the window glass to prevent remote hearing of the conference, privacy curtains still would have been closed as a extra precaution.
