    Barely passable

The show overindulges in 90's nostalgia, which will be that main magnet for most watching this show. At that, the show does well and feels authentic. It captures Mexico City's mood in that time pretty decently.

Why 5? It's probably a 5.5. The writing is poor, the storyline makes little to no sense. Feels mostly shallow, and like a soap opera - which is its biggest flaw in my view. Don't expect anything deep, which is a shame as it started pretty good.

Acting is mostly good, I'll give them that. Always good too see new faces with talent. But what's worse is the ending. Won't spoil it but not worth it.

    What a beautiful piece

As an adult who lived his teenage years in the 90s in Mexico's metropolitan area, and currently is struggling with mental health, this beautiful piece touched so many sensitive fibers.

The show's atmosphere is immersive, it took me back to my highschool years. I don't doubt that people who didn't live it, will be taken there too.

    It's easy to watch.

The cast is unbelievably perfect, they make you connect with the characters, care about them.

The story and everything is just so beautiful, lovely and emotive, it made write my very first IMDb review ever. And it became my favorite mexican TV show the moment I saw it.

    It's plain OK

Being basically the same age in 94 as the characters, most of it is pretty close to the times. Some storylines are a little too modern, but not far off. I identified to some of the kids experiences so it was pretty close to home, specially when 93, 94 and part of 95 weren't the best of my life.

Some things are unrealistic depending on the context of each ones experience. No all private a schools are the same nor are all from the super high life neighborhoods, so maybe this one applies to that case a more simplistic private school although with a little bit of not 100% realism. I too think as others it looks more to a public school.

Acting is too simple and overall so is the series. Some acting is off at times and quite good at other's. To me the worst was Laguardia, he has been acting for so long but he is just not a movie/big series level actor he was not believable at all, he's got to much telenovela acting in him.

Soundtrack even though not all is from the same year it is quite good. And as for a nostalgia bait, it has everything needed to check each mark.

The final episode it's not what I expected. After the events from the prior episode, it should have needed an additional episode or being arranged on the prior episode, that's actually a problem with today's 8 episodes shows, you have to rush or compress as much as possible.

It is not a classic, but still enjoyable.

I went without expectations and I ended up watching an amazing TV show

The story is about high schoolers, where they have real teenage problems like school (the main plot starts because of it) and the characters still have a bit of their innocence.

Every character feels so real, I empathized with all of them and their friendship is so touching and pure. The chemistry between the main cast is amazing, I was immersed in 1994 the whole time and I completely forgot that the actors are actually Gen Z, and weren't teenagers 30 years ago.

I would definitely watch a second season of this show if they decide to continue (which I hope they do).

Oh, and the soundtrack is amazing, I'm not Mexican and now I have many Mexican songs from the 90s in my playlist.

    Amazing.

It was like remembering my school time. The series plays a lot with nostalgia, and I have read comments that the acting is bad, in fact I think it is excellent. The acting is excellent because this is how a high school kid acts in '94, it may seem like a poor or poor quality performance but the reality is that it is in keeping with the date and how people were in those years.

The script seems immature but the reality is that it is basic but it was like that back then, it is incredible that it touches a lot on the taboo topics that we found in those years and gives them visibility.

The story seems very light, it is very easy to watch and it hits you in the emotion and in the heart.

    The soundtrack is spectacular.

In reality, I think it is an excellent series and worth watching.
