What is my rating? 10 stars, obviously. 10/10. A perfect score. Not only that, it even breaks past any score I could give. There isn't a number that can accurately describe this series. I will keep saying broad, vague things like this for the whole review, so I don't risk spoiling anything.
This is not an ordinary franchise. It is a heightened sensory experience. Yes, I am saying things like this with full confidence because that is what the show inspires. I am in genuine awe yet again. How many times do I have to sit there and be moved into verbal silence by this series? It is just the best.
There hasn't been a franchise out there that can be so fun, so happy, so energetic, and calmly and carefully bring the audience over to a place of pure emotional maturity. It isn't just called My Hero Academia because it is mostly set in a learning environment. It's because it has so much to teach viewers and readers. I didn't think a superhero franchise could do what My Hero Academia does: treat its audience like they are human beings.
The writer even goes above and beyond with the politics of the show. I know that is a taboo topic here, but that's the point of the emotional maturity observation. You cannot hide away from the important messages and the necessary lessons the show has for its audience.
My Hero Academia is the embodiment of "doing good." It is an incredibly rare thing, and everyone needs to watch it.
