Beautifully written episode, despite my misgivings with Bones, their mismanagement of the source material, this episode that source material outshines all of that. Even so bones showed flashes of what good they were doing at the start of the anime. Hirokoshi's writing really comes it and caries this episode for me at least all the way to a 10. If you are not caught up this episode alone, the brilliance, in it is enough of a incentive to start watching my hero academia again. Truly a defining episode for the anime with numerous callbacks and references to multiple character arcs setting up what could be a tumultuous ending.

AN EMOTIONALLY MATURE, GENRE CHANGING MASTERPIECE

What is my rating? 10 stars, obviously. 10/10. A perfect score. Not only that, it even breaks past any score I could give. There isn't a number that can accurately describe this series. I will keep saying broad, vague things like this for the whole review, so I don't risk spoiling anything.

This is not an ordinary franchise. It is a heightened sensory experience. Yes, I am saying things like this with full confidence because that is what the show inspires. I am in genuine awe yet again. How many times do I have to sit there and be moved into verbal silence by this series? It is just the best.

There hasn't been a franchise out there that can be so fun, so happy, so energetic, and calmly and carefully bring the audience over to a place of pure emotional maturity. It isn't just called My Hero Academia because it is mostly set in a learning environment. It's because it has so much to teach viewers and readers. I didn't think a superhero franchise could do what My Hero Academia does: treat its audience like they are human beings.

The writer even goes above and beyond with the politics of the show. I know that is a taboo topic here, but that's the point of the emotional maturity observation. You cannot hide away from the important messages and the necessary lessons the show has for its audience.

My Hero Academia is the embodiment of "doing good." It is an incredibly rare thing, and everyone needs to watch it.

    EMOTIONAL

This episode was a whirlwind of emotions with many hype moments included for various characters that was elevated by the amazing voice acting and OST used for their respective scene. It's such a great episode that I can't stop rewatching it, especially with how beautiful and fluid the animation looks throughout the episode.

The sakuga sequences also look amazing, with the final walking scene showing a change in perspective and adding a level of uniqueness to the whole sequence, being shown from the behind the feet.

The new director for this season has continued to elevate the source material and has made the anime that much more enjoyable!

    PURE CINEMA

This episode is hands down one of the best animated episodes in the entire series! From beginning to end, the drawings are fluid and bring out the emotion depicted by the voice actors. Along with the emotion that this episode brings, this demonstrates what MHA is all about and why so many people fell in love with it.

The way this series brings out the emotions of oneself through these characters is nothing short of astonishing. I'm really impressed with this new director that is elevating the source material and adequately using up time and effort equally into each episode and using more of it with the more important scenes.
