A family drama upholding importance of equal justice for men

    Aabhyanthara Kuttavali

A sensible family drama highlighting the misery of men in the eyes of law and society.

The plot of the story is about a groom who undergoes emotional and mental agony over a fake allegation from the bride in a shortlived marriage relationship and the events that unfolds later forms the story.

Big hugs to the filmmaker Sethunath for bringing an untouched subject to the public diaspora questioning the importance of peace of mind and emotional well being of men in family lives. The filmmaker has layered the story with relevant events in this status quo adding value and connection to the core screenplay that can be easily digested by the audience. He also portrays the bitter truth from the POV of men on the protection given by Legal system to women while men have to prove their innocence even if the truth is on their side. He also throws light on the rise in suicides of men due to family issues still remaining an undiscussed topic even within the legal system.

Asif Ali continues his success streak with poignant delivery of his character and through consistent selection of quality content. Raw performances from Harisree Ashokan & Sidharth Bharathan. Impressive performances by Azees Nedumangad and Anand Manmadhan balancing their equation with Asif through subtle humour and bonding. Vijayakumar Henry,Neeraja Rajendran,Balachandran Chullikad also made notable performances.

    Do not miss this

The film exposes terrorism carried out by the State for vote bank. Brings out truths that are there right before our eyes but we are unable to see them die to our inherent bias.

Shows what a banana republic is and how little himan lives matter.

Must watch for every Indian who might want to marry one day so that he is aware of what a legal mess he has got into with this contract which is pure slavery.

It is both tragic amd educational and probably more relevant than any other film you jave seen in your life. Awareness of circumstances might actually save not just your life but also the lives of your ageing parents too. Make sure you take them along for the movie. You owe it to them.

    Really wanted movie

Story strongly says what is hidden behind our existing lows. The importance of equality doesn't mean only women need protection; men also need equal support from the law. Thanks, crew, for saying the truth about what's happening in our country. The current system is always saying and supporting women blindly, not even listening to what happens to men. We need changes to our laws, which will help to reduce false imprisonment. Women can easily manipulate our judiciary; society only blames men. I am not supporting all men, but equal distribution of rights is needed. Agree women need more support; that doesn't mean they can easily manipulate our judiciary for personal revenge.

    Thanks crew.

    Must watch

In the world where we are brainwashed on women's issues, it is important that we also look at men's issues, legal battle and social drama. This movie highlights it all. A real need of today's scenario. Must must watch.

Asif Ali has justified his role in the movie. A bank employee how is short lived marriage turned into a nightmare.

Apart from the acting, ditection is amazing. Thanks to all mallu guys out there to make such movie. No one in india has courage to do so.

I wish this movie is released in other languages, specially in Hindi and should be telecasted on DD for the whole nation.

    A great watch.

A Decent Watch Throwing Light on Current Martial Issues

    PLOT SUMMARY:

Sahadevan is a temporary staff in a cooperative bank gets married Nayana. He was at the peak of his enjoyment but that lasted only for 10 days as Nayana leaves his house & later files a domestic violence case against him. How Sahadevan reacts & how he deals with this situation forms the rest part of the movie.

    MOVIE ANALYSIS

The movie talks about the marital issues & how certain women in our society misuse the laws for their own benefits. Post 10-15 minutes of the movie start, we could see the protagonist waiting for his turn at the police station & when CI asks to him in receipt of the complaint registered by his wife, the journey of this movie begins.

The interval portion ends with a scene wherein the protagonist receives a registered courier from his wife's lawyer where we became curious as how it gonna travels & in the 2nd half, we could see what this movie wants to talk.

Various incidents which we hear over a news channel or from our near ones about the divorce cases, demanding of alimony, here writer - director Sethunath does not claim that all women misuse the law or all men are toxic but it just throws a light on us & make us think about its morality.

Although such kind of social issues today are being portrayed over a 30-minute video which could be accessible on a YouTube, but the director had able to add some ingredients required for a commercial watch & hence the movie turns out to be a decent watch & when in a crowd, at a dark space, the experience is always different.

Performance wise, Asif Ali able to connect those unknown real-life people like Sahadevan in our society who becomes the victim of the false allegations in a martial life.

    Conclusion

Without much expectations , the movie will deliver a decent watch.
