Harriet Dyer needs to be on the writing team

Wow this has sooo much potential. Look at the cast. The writing is just not good. You have Aussie on there that can fix this. Ones that have written the most amazing shows like Colin from Accounts.

Get some help for this quickly or it's not going past season one. Everything is great except the writing!!!!!!

    A FUN Ride?

DMV follows the quirky "crew" of a DMV office, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. Harriet Dyer shines as Colette, the main lead, while Tony Cavalero as Vic and Molly Kearney as Barbara, the office manager, bring plenty of personality to the mix.

The show starts off strong, leaning into the classic stereotypes of a DMV office with some clever humor. But as it goes on, it starts to feel a little too familiar-almost like The Office, just set behind the counter of your local DMV. That said, I was still thoroughly entertained. It's a fun, awkward, and surprisingly charming mockumentary that finds its own rhythm as it goes.

So stick around-it's going to be a fun "ride."

Very funny! Great cast and smart writing

Randomly flipped on the tv in the hotel room for background noise while unpacking and discovered my new favorite show.

The lead actress Harriet Dyer is hilarious as Collette the awkward lovable loser.

The entire rest of the cast is insanely talented and very very funny. Seriously, this show is packed with heavyweights.

The writers are magicians, setting up so many unique characters and relationships in a half hour.

The DMV part doesn't interest me too much, but The Office was about a paper compay and no one cared about that.

The end of the first episode sets a sweet tone, as Harriet's character Collette experiences hope after being beaten down.

Anyhoo, I'm rooting for this show to make it and I hope it finds its people.

    Old writers, old ideas, cringeworthy

Grandma hits a lot of cones on her driving test, ha ha. Network TV is stuck in the 90s with 90s writers rehashing ideas for the 1000th time and can't even regurgitate them well. Making matters worse is the horrific casting and not just because it has no likable characters (it doesn't), but it is a group that feels like they don't even know it's a mockumentary. The saddest part is how networks don't need help ruining their business because they don't even try tapping into new writers and ideas. This rating is generous. I gave it an extra point for the jolt of nostalgia that faded quickly.

    Praying for Improvements

2 funny places and 14 just dumb places. Now, who at CBS has a rich uncle, Fred, who wanted this show produced and placed in the lineup? That is the mystery of this sitcom. I've been watching network TV long enough to know there were even worse shows. There was ABC's TURN-ON (1969) that lasted only 15 minutes (on some stations) and CBS's Public Morals (1966) that lasted one episode. I promise that I'll watch the second episode to see if it's any good. It really can't get much worse.
